Clark started his human resources career in 1981 and has held various positions in small and medium size companies, including serving as a contract recruiter for six years with The Bryant Group in Indianapolis, IN. He also brings a business development perspective to the company having served as Minority Business Assistance Project Director for Urban League of Madison County, Inc., located in Anderson, IN.
Having been reared by Christian parents, Oscar L. and Florence B. Taylor, Clark learned the value of hard work and resourcefulness. The family-owned business, Taylor Plastering Company, allowed Clark to learn key principles of managing a business, and developing rapport (and acquiring training) with tradesmen offering a variety of services, e.g., electrical (Carter & Sons), tile-setting (Zebedee Christian Tile Co.), plumbing (Rybolt Plumbing Co.), house building (Clarence Wolfe Construction), painting (William’s Brothers Painting – Kenneth & William), to name a few.
Clark's passion for landscaping and horticulture was influenced by his mother. Maintaining a beautiful lawn and using her "green-thumb" to care for the many flowers (indoor & outdoor), Florence taught young Clark how to complement the landscape of a home with color and symmetry. As a youngster, Clark had a "mowing route", which included the grounds at Sherman Street Church of God, and now utilizes his skills as a certified technician (licensed by the State Chemist since 2008) to perform work on lawns including pest management and control.
